Andre ward v Sergey Kovalev

Apparently this is pretty much going ahead towards the end of the year.

Both fighters top 7 P4P , and if styles make fights, this could be a classic

Even though he's stepping up,ill give the advantage to ward,brillaint defensive fighter , but he can bang as well.

I love watching Kovalev fight , he's a proper junkyard dog of a fighter , but ward will be to slick for him , but he wont have it all his own way, ill be interested to see the

I suppose you have to throw Adonis Stevenson in the mix , if you're talking light heavyweight contenders , but i cant see him beating either

Any proper fight fan will have been looking forward to this for a while , how do you see it going ?

agreed Hani , Kovalev is a destroyer , but Ward is a quality boxer , and a defensive wizard , who can bang. Froch tried to ruff him up on this inside as his best chance , he ended up getting ruffed up.

Ward on points for me too , will be a great fight

One of the best defensive fighters against one of the most powerful punchers in boxing. Close fight but Ward wins on points for me.

Absolutely no chance in hell Ward has more power than Kovalev.

Kovalev is probably the most concussive puncher out there at the minute. How many people has Ward killed in the ring?

And that's without the fact Ward is coming up from super middleweight.

Ward will stifle kovalev. Will be a dull fight with ward avoiding the bombs and holding. I totally disagree with longford that ward has more power. Ward on points in a totally anti climax fight

What have you seen in Andre ward , that makes you think he is going to lie down.

Kovalev is a top fighter but the fact is, he hasnt fought anyone of any class yet , Ward boxings fundamentals are better , and my personal opinion is he has more power as well.

I think people forget due to inactivity just how good ward is ....

stevenson also has a right hook to the liver , whci is another cracking shot of his ... I dont the Stevenson kovalev is as elementary as you might think , i do give the edge to sergey , but i could also see Stevenson winning .

apparently the fight has little or no chance of eing made tho , due to the fighters promoters

I agree they both beat Adonis ,even tho he has serious one punch knock out power.

I agree with you about kovalevs boxing fundamentals , and irate him, but ward is a supreme fighter.

This is what boxing needs a proper competitive 50/50 fight .

Also, they both flatten Adonis, who I don't rate whatsoever. Steer clear of the left hand (which he telegraphs) and he's got fuck all else.

Kovalev is a far better boxer than some people credit for. He's obviously pretty straightforward in terms of style, but he has great footwork and stalks his opponents brilliantly.

The way he dealt with B-Hop was immense.

Along with his natural size advantage, I fancy him to beat Ward pretty handily!
